Abstract:
Optimization of heat and mass transfer processes between humid air and water will effectively improve the performances of HVAC systems and equipment. In order to minimize the losses of entransy dissipation, based on the entransy theory, this paper analyses the changing conditions of entransy dissipation in moisture air and water at different states of isotherm and isenthalpic during the heat and mass transfer process in vertical spray chamber, defines the entransy dissipation coefficiency X for measuring the irreversibility of the process of heat and mass transfer between moisture air and water, the results show if certain amount of the heat exchange between moist air and water is given, and the inlet moisture air is closed to saturation, the minimum entransy dissipation, thermal resistance based on moisture entransy dissipation (TRMED) and X will be obtained which shows that the dissipation of heat and mass transfer ability approximates minimum.
